Solar Hybrid System for Rural Electrification at RPS Kemar, Gerik Perak
The rural electrification project at RPS Kemar is a pioneering initiative aimed at bringing reliable and sustainable electricity to a remote community which is located too far from TNB grid. Through the deployment of a solar hybrid system, the project is transforming the lives of the 3000 over villagers by providing them with access to uninterrupted power supply.
Prior to the installation of the solar hybrid system, these villages had unreliable electricity supply powered by standalone diesel generator which has frequent failure, high cost of energy production for delivery & handling of diesel to remote area, high cost of operation & maintenance due to long-running hours of generator engine and high pollution from engine emission.
The deployment of solar hybrid system combines 850kWp of solar capacity with 4,800kWh of battery storage to ensure a stable and consistent power supply.
This rural electrification project stands as a testament to the potential of renewable energy in uplifting remote communities which powers homes, schools, healthcare facilities, and community centers, enabling villagers to enjoy modern conveniences, enhanced education, and improved healthcare services. It is a remarkable transformation in the lives of remote communities.
Solar Hybrid System for Rural Schools Electrification at Johor & Kelantan
The deployment of solar hybrid systems for rural schools in Johor & Kelantan exemplifies the transformative potential of solar energy in uplifting education, improving energy access, and fostering sustainable development.
This marks a significant step towards providing a stable and continuous power supply to these underserved schools which empower them to operate more efficiently and enhancing the overall educational experience.
The positive impact in addressing the energy gaps in these schools helps brightening the future of students in remote areas.
